On 28 January, Tekrolab hosted an online webinar “Basics of Veterinary Pharmacovigilance”, bringing together professionals from across the European Union working in veterinary pharmaceuticals, regulatory affairs, and pharmacovigilance.

The webinar focused on the core principles of veterinary pharmacovigilance under Regulation (EU) 2019/6, including system setup, legislation and documentation, adverse event reporting, databases, benefit–risk evaluation, and basic signal management.
The goal was to provide a clear and practical introduction to pharmacovigilance obligations and to support companies in maintaining compliance while ensuring animal safety.

We highly value the active participation, thoughtful questions, and practical discussions during the session, which confirmed the growing need for clear guidance in this complex regulatory area.
